The 1st Fukushima Resilience Study Field Study
date: October 1 – 3, 2021
Fourteen students from the University of Tokyo and five students from Fukushima National College of Technology conducted fieldwork on the disaster in Tomioka Town.
They visited the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, the Nuclear Decommissioning and Refurbishment Museum, the interim storage facility, the difficult-to-return area, and the Great East Japan Earthquake Nuclear Disaster Heritage Museum, listened to the narrators of the disaster, and learned about reconstruction in Iitate Village.
